'What does your blog title mean?'
Retrato means photo in Tagalog, my native language, which I have always thought as a beautiful language.
I was born and raised in a small fishing town in the Philippines. I moved to Canada when I was 15 and now I'm studying Professional Photography.
Number two;
'So... you're a photographer? What got you into that?'
I have another hobby and that is Gunpla. I have been collecting these Plastic model kits for as long as I could remember. This hobby took a lot of time and patience from me and made me have a greater appreciation to the finer detail. I wanted other enthusiast see and appreciate this new understanding I have and so I thought taking photos of them would be the best way. This made me dive into the world of photography and helped me get to where I'm at right now.
Number three:
'You have a funky last name, what does it mean?'
Thanks! I think that too! I was told it was a Spanish musical play that portrayed the luxurious lifestyles of the Spaniards and how they abused the Filipinos during their invasion during the 18th century. Kinda neat!
(Another was it was a battle of the Spanish crusaders against the indigenous people from the islands that they claimed during their exploration.)
Number four:
'What am I gonna be seeing in your blog? does that mean you'll be posting your work in photography and plastic robots? will we see both?'
